Crawl Space Repair Before & After Photos

For this project, we completed a full crawl space encapsulation to help protect the home from moisture, improve air quality, and create a cleaner, more usable space.

We began by sealing and securing a heavy-duty moisture barrier along the floor and up the walls of the crawl space, following manufacturer guidelines. A special drainage mat was also installed underneath to help with any ground moisture and add durability for storage use.

We repaired a wall crack by injecting a waterproofing material deep into the wall and finishing it with a flexible sealant system for added protection. The area was then cleaned and vacuumed, and any wall insulation that had to be removed was reinstalled. 

To address any existing mould, we applied a mould treatment to all exposed wood and organic surfaces in the crawl space. We also wiped down heating ducts, cleaned off sewer lines, and removed spider webs and loose debris from the floor.

Lastly, we installed new foil-faced insulation on the walls, which helps keep the crawl space energy efficient and prevents moisture or odor absorption. All seams and gaps were properly sealed to ensure a tight, protective finish.

When a homeowner noticed a musty smell and excess moisture in their crawl space, they knew it was time for a solution. Worried about potential mould and damage, they reached out to us for help. We installed a dehumidifier to keep humidity in check and treated the wood surfaces with a mould prevention solution. To ensure proper drainage, we added a condensate pump. For better insulation and energy efficiency, we installed moisture resistant foam board. Finally, we encapsulated the space with a durable vapor barrier and drainage matting to lock out moisture for good. Now, their crawl space is dry, fresh, and protected, giving them peace of mind and a healthier home.

We turned this crawl space into a much cleaner, drier, and healthier part of the home. First, we gave it a good clean, removing debris, dust, and cobwebs, then sealed and insulated it to help keep moisture out. We added protective layers to the floor and walls, installed a system to manage humidity and air quality, and treated the wood to prevent mold. Everything was neatly connected to the existing drain system. Now, this space is fresh, protected, and ready to support a healthier home environment.

This project focused on protecting the crawl space from water and humidity while improving overall comfort. A new sump pump system was installed to handle groundwater, along with a battery backup so it keeps working even during power outages. A discharge line was added to safely carry water away from the home.

The crawl space was fully cleared and cleaned, including removing stored items, debris, and wiping down ducts and pipes. All wood surfaces were treated to help prevent mould and keep the space healthier.

To control moisture, the crawl space was sealed with a durable liner and a drainage layer underneath to manage ground seepage. A dehumidifier was also installed to keep humidity levels under control year-round.

To finish, insulation was added in the rim joist areas to reduce drafts and improve energy efficiency.

In the end, the crawl space is now dry, clean, and well-protected, helping prevent water issues and creating a healthier environment for the home.

For this project, the goal was to turn a damp and unprotected crawl space into a dry, clean, and energy-efficient area.

We started by sealing the entire crawl space using a strong moisture barrier that covers the floor and part of the walls. This helps keep out dampness and improves the overall air quality in the home. A special layer was also added underneath to help water drain properly and to make the floor more comfortable and durable, especially helpful if the homeowner wants to use the space for storage.

We also repaired a crack in the foundation wall to stop any water from leaking in and to make sure the structure stays solid. This repair is backed by a 5-year warranty for added peace of mind.

To finish the job, we added insulation around the top edges of the crawl space to help keep the home warmer in winter and cooler in summer.

Overall, the space is now dry, stronger, and better protected making it a safer and healthier part of the home.
