This project focused on sealing, insulating, and improving the overall condition of the crawl space. The team began by removing old insulation materials from the rim joist area to prepare for new installations. A durable liner system was then installed throughout the crawl space, carefully sealed around footings, piers, and along the foundation walls to block moisture and humidity.
A drainage mat was added beneath the liner to help manage ground seepage and create a smoother, more durable surface for storage. The walls and rim joists were insulated with high-performance panels, tightly sealed with foil tape and spray foam to prevent air leaks and moisture intrusion. The result is a clean, energy-efficient, and well-protected crawl space built for long-term comfort and durability.
Clean-up (fiberglass removal) and replaced with air board rigid insulation, installation of drain mat with cleanspace vapour barrier, replace rotten base plate structural wall with new wood.
This project focused on improving the health and energy efficiency of the crawl space. All wood and organic surfaces were treated with a mould-control solution to help prevent mould growth and improve air quality.
New wall insulation was installed over the existing rigid foam, with all seams and edges carefully sealed to block air leaks and moisture. The old insulation in the rim joist area was removed and properly disposed of, then replaced with new insulation to improve comfort and reduce heat loss.
These upgrades help keep the crawl space cleaner, drier, and better insulated, supporting a healthier home overall.
What have we done in this house?
-Insulation was repaired to keep the house with minimal energy loss properly.
-Super Sump Pump was installed to help with water issues in the crawlspace
-Mould killer was sprayed to kill affected areas that were showing signs of mold
This project involved a full cleaning and insulation upgrade in the crawl space to create a healthier and more energy-efficient environment. The team started by applying a mould control treatment to all wooden and organic surfaces to eliminate any potential growth and ensure a clean foundation. Old insulation materials were removed and properly disposed of, followed by a detailed cleaning, including wiping down heating ducts, clearing debris, and vacuuming the crawl space floor for a fresh finish.
New insulated panels were then installed along the rim joist and wood-framed walls, with all seams carefully sealed using spray foam for an airtight fit. The sill plate was also sealed to the foundation wall to prevent air leaks and help keep out insects. This process left the crawl space cleaner, better protected, and more efficient overall.
